MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the same year as the inception of the institute viz. 2008. The department has come a long way with less initial intake of students and pass through significant milestones to become the department with most student intake of the college. The department have highly qualified faculty members, who are having rich academic and industrial experience. The faculty members of the department have cordial relationships with Universities and Industries as expert committee members. They are also well-known keynote speakers, reviewers and editors in many journals. To make students’ professional and personal growth more effective, 1:20 faculty- student ratio is being maintained in the department from the outset. Students enjoy freedom to express their ideas through interaction with faculty and peers by participating in inter-department technical activities. This leads students to develop technical skills, innovative products, and leadership qualities. The department strives continually to enhance the quality of education by imparting them with latest technological developments.

SENIOR FACULTY
Dr. E. Daniel Francis is currently working as Professor in department of Mechanical Engineering. He is an experienced faculty with over 20 years of teaching experience. He was awarded with Ph.D degree from Andhra University in 2013. Prior to joining in this organization, he worked in various capacities as Dean, Principal, Vice-principal and other roles different colleges.
Dr. C. Venkatadri Naidu has obtained his Ph.D from JNTU, Hyderabad in 2010. He is working as professor in department of Mechanical Engineering and has an experience of more than 25 years. He also worked as Production Manager and Production Engineer for 7 years before coming into teaching field. He worked as CEO & Principal of an engineering college and handled many responsibilities in various colleges.

Mr. K. Joseph Noel is the Head of Mechanical Engineering Department at WISTM College. He obtained his post-graduation from GITAM University in Machine Design, Bachelors from Anna University, Chennai. He has a phenomenal teaching experience of 7 years and Industry experience of 5 years and had been ratified as an Assistant Professor by Andhra University. His teaching interests include Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Material (MOS-1 & MOS-2), Industrial Engineering. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D from JNTU Anantapur in the area of Additive Manufacturing.
He worked at various administrative roles which includes, Training and Placements officer, Jnanabhumi SPOC etc… His other areas of interests include Data Sciences, Programming and Engineering Physics. He is an excellent speaker, accomplished musician. He has been awarded “Best Teacher” award in 2019 by the Vice Chancellor of Andhra University Prof. PVGD Prasad Reddy.

WISTM has specially designed a program to mould the student through an interaction with a teaching faculty periodically and help in their holistic development of personality. The counseling system comprises of one mentor to whom about 15 students are attached. Through counseling, the counselor will be able to assess the strengths and weakness through SWOT analysis and rectify the difficulties the student is facing in understanding the subject. If student is having any difficulty in understanding the subject, the student is given individual care and student is extended all help to make the student problem to be resolved to the core level.
The counselors bestow special care about the attendance of the student. If any student is absent for more than 2 days, his parents are intimated about his absence. An update of student’s attendance is informed to the parent every month. . Parents are also intimated about the student behavior and his academic performance at regular intervals. The parent can have a direct interaction with the counselors once in an academic year and know the overall progress of the student.
