Co-Curricular Activities
WISTM gives priority to conservation of natural resources and educates the same to the students. The Civil department has undertaken two projects construction on campus premises.
Two batches consisting of 6 students each from civil department have constructed two Rain Harvesting pits to collect rain water during the rainfall which can be reused.

RAIN GAUGE MEASUREMENT
Second project undertaken by civil department is “Symon’s Rain Gauge”, a rain measurement gauge station which measures the amount and intensity of rain after 24hrs of rainfall.
It is situated in the campus ground and is currently maintained by the Civil Department.
SOLAR FENCING
WISTM Campus premises compound is provided with Solar Fencing security, which is undertaken as a project and currently maintained by EEE department students.
WISTM believes that it is very important for students to relate their theoretical knowledge to practical aspects as it bridges the gap between theoretical learning and practical training.
WISTM encourages the students through industrial visits and gives them the opportunity for interactive learning outside classroom environment.
These visits motivate the students who are looking to pursue professional education and industry-oriented jobs in the near future.
Industrial and Field visits broaden the outlook of students and gives exposure to different workforces from various industries.

- WISTM strives to improve the overall performance of students in the Campus Recruitment and the relevant training and workshops are provided.
- Training classes on Aptitude/ Reasoning/ Software Training/ Soft skills and Communication skills are provided at free of cost to the student.
- WISTM is associated with Hobel Bellows Co., a leading MNC located at Duvvada. Its client base includes major ship manufacturers of Russia and Singapore.

The institute and the respective departments regularly organise seminars, and group discussions and debating events to develop communication skills, team playing abilities and also bring out the latent talents inter-personal skills of our students.
Online viva-voce for final year 2020 passing students
WISTM is the only institute in Visakhapatnam to conduct online viva for its final year students in April 2020 during the Covid19 pandemic. The students prepared their presentations online and the viva was also held online. This online viva was graced by the honorable Vice Chancellor of Andhra University, Professor PVGD Prasad Reddy.
