         Born in a disciplined family, Prof. B.V. Shiva Kumar had his schooling in Timpany School. He passed B.E (Civil Engineering) in 1987 and M.E (Public Health & Environmental Engineering) in 1989,both exams with DISTINCTION (above 70%) from reputed Andhra University college of Engineering.
            Prof. B.V.Shiva Kumar worked as Civil Engineering private consultant from 1989 to 1991 and as Senior Research Fellow (S.R.F), enjoying stipend from C.S.I.R.(1991 to 1993), and from U.G.C. (1993 to 1994). To his credit, he has four publications in refereed journals like International Journal of Applied Environmental Sciences, and two publications in conferences. He co authored one article “RISK ZONE ASSESSMENT OF MALARIA IN VISAKHAPATNAM city, Andhra Pradesh- An Environmental Health Hazard” in book titled “The Environment Development Interface; Recent studies & Emerging Issues”.

            Prof. B.V.Shiva Kumar has a rich and varied experience with 15 years 6 months of teaching experience, 4 years of research experience (FT), and 14 years of administrative experience i.e. as Training and Placement Officer ( in Gayathri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering & Chaitanya Engineering College) and as an entrepreneur with the distinction of successfully and effectively running an Intermediate level College (EXCEL JUNIOR COLLEGE) as DIRECTOR, Principal, Treasurer, Secretary & Correspondent for more than a decade.

                    The architect of modern INDIA, Bharat Ratna “SIR MOKSHAGUNDAM VISVESVARAYYA” is a role model for Civil Engineering fraternity and all the budding Civil Engineers should draw INSPIRATION from him. I am proud to point out that “ENGINEERS DAY” is celebrated in his honour by all engineers in India. Glorious future lies ahead for all the budding engineers with a strong impetus given by Government of India in the field of infrastructure. If a CIVIL stand for Courage is Very Important in Life, then ROYAL CIVILS are Courageous & Creative too.
